This is Richard Hayne, President and CEO of Urban Outfitters. He’s also a supporter of Rick Santorum and donated over $13,000 to him. He’s against gay marriage and abortion. His company pulled a pro-gay shirt back in 08, they also blatantly ripped off an Etsy designers work, featured a t-shirt for women that said “eat less” and most recently had a card with a “tranny” slur on in.

Three years without shopping UO and counting. He also owns Free the People and Anthropologie.

Ugandans get their first look at the viral anti-Kony video

Over 70 million people worldwide have seen the “Kony 2012” video, but with less than 1% of the population having access to the internet, almost no one in Uganda has. So the video was brought to them— the people who suffered the atrocities under the warlord Joseph Kony. And their reaction? Papers are refusing to run this week’s Doonsbury. It should be seen.

It’s good to know that there are newspapers that have carried it.

Like I said yesterday. I love Doonesbury. I love that they are not afraid to take on big topics. I was impressed with how they handled MST. That papers won’t run this is shameful.

They can run articles and editorials about the legislation, but a cartoon depicting the results is TOO MUCH.

LA Times is running it… In the editorial section.

Dear fellow Tumblr users,

Watch and learn how to stop this idiocy from happening! And fellow Canadian users, remember that we’re sleeping next to a giant that can roll over and crush us too. If passed, this U.S. law may sway our Parliament to do the same. This will deprive information from reaching our neighbours across the border, and we’ll have extremely limited access to information.

DO SOMETHING. http://americancensorship.org/

Oh lawd.
